06-01-05 George Olson - George's son, John, called last night to say that George
passed away yesterday. He had been in a coma after a series
of mini strokes, and was on a breathing machine while they tried
to figure out if there was a treatment for the strokes.
After talking it over with people in palliative care and knowing
George's wishes not to be kept alive on machinery, they removed
the breathing machine. He died five ours later, quietly.
John said he would keep us informed about services, and I told
him I would let you know. He did say he was calling other
people, so I don't know if any of you may already know this.
As George said, he had a a great run of luck, but his luck ran
out.
