MLSNI Passwords
It has become apparent that many users have not changed their password in years or have never changed the password that they were allocated when their accounts were set up. Passwords are an important aspect of computer security. They are the front line of protection for user accounts. Passwords provide a means of validating a user’s identity and thereby establish access rights to information processing facilities or services. With that said MLSNI will be implementing a new security policy starting June 8, 2005 that will have subscriber passwords set to expire on a 30 day cycle for Compass/REXplorer only (i.e. PC Access, Lightning & REX). Any changes in passwords will be carried over to the MLXchange browner but not connectMLS, which will be instituting its own enforced password change policy in July. Users of PC Access & Lightning will need to edit their User Set-Up if they have their password programmed in for automatic connection to the MLS. Read more...
