The North Shore - Barrington Association of REALTORS® is committed to giving you all the support and tools you need in your career. Our mission is to be “The Gateway to Education, Information and Technology” for all members. To achieve that mission, we have an exceptional staff of association professionals focusing on education, professional standards and technology. In addition to the StarTrack orientation program that you are attending today, we have many education sessions and professional development workshops to enhance your career. Many of our computer classes are “hands on” and we encourage your participation in all of our programs.

In an effort to continue to offer the latest services and products, we rely on our members to let us know what they want. As our newest members, we need and encourage your input. You have a fresh perspective on the business and may have an idea that will help your business thrive in the new century. We have many committees, task forces and panel discussions to provide a way for you to get involved in your profession. We promise the time you spend volunteering for the North Shore - Barrington Association of REALTORS® will be rewarded many times over as you develop relationships with your fellow REALTORS® to enhance your success.

You may not realize it now, but you are joining one of the most respected REALTOR® associations in the State of Illinois and the United States. Over the last eight decades, we have developed a history of service to our profession, with many members serving not only our own association, but the Illinois Association of REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® (conveniently headquartered in Chicago) as well. We hope you will help us continue that commitment to excellence and service to our profession.

At the end of the StarTrack orientation program, you will be sworn in as a member of the North Shore - Barrington Association of REALTORS®. You will swear an oath to live up to a strict Code of Ethics in your conduct as a REALTOR®. The buyers and sellers you represent will demand the highest level of professionalism. As you participate in this and other programs, the North Shore - Barrington Association of REALTORS® will help you develop and shape your professional image.
