Mission Statement:The North Shore - Barrington Association of REALTORS® Political Affairs Committee is responsible for;
1)Monitoring local government initiatives as they pertain to the real estate industry and private property owners' rights and offer REALTOR® positions on these issues;
2) Maintaining a strong network and interaction amongst REALTORS® and public officials; and
3) Conducting REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) recommendations for local candidates.
What is.....RPAC - REALTORS® Political Action Committee RPAC is your best investment in real estate. Together we can make a difference! The REALTORS® Political Action Committee is a legal means by which REALTORS® band together for the purpose of political action. RPAC is the backbone that supports our legislative and advocacy programs, taking issues from the grassroots to the priority policy making level.
RPAC supports candidates who foster positions favorable to the real estate business and even more importantly to this country's property owners. With each dollar we raise for RPAC, 70 percent is retained by the state with 30 percent going to the national level. Individual participation in the political process ensures that our REALTOR® viewpoint on industry issues is heard at all levels of government.
Through RPAC, we are investing in the future direction of this country and its laws on the local, state and national level and in the ideal of home ownership and private property rights that are the heartbeat of our business.
